. In Kent. Gl. 245 'legum conditores' is rendered by a word which Zupitza reads as scepttenras. This in Junius' copy of the MS. is given by ægewriteras. The scept is uncertain, and Zupitza gives egewritteras as a more possible reading than that of Junius.
