Grammar
amer, (?), es; n.
A kind of corn, spelt. In C. D. iii. 118, 20 occurs omer-lond, and in iv. 157, 34 omer-mád. Could the omer in either case correspond to O. H. Ger. amer far, ador?: cf. O. H. Ger. place-names Amar-lant, -feld. Or is the form to be identified with amore? (v. next word).
