bregden. Substitute for translation of Ors. 5, 7, Marius non minore pene quam ipse praeditus erat astutia; and add Brǽdynes strofosæ (fraudis balista), An. Ox. 8, 84. Brǽdnes, 7, 54: Angl. xiii. 29, 39. (The passage to which all these refer is glossed by swicfulles, An. Ox. 732.) Þǽr man gecnáwan can þǽr bregden bið (that there has been fraud), Ll. Th. i. 390, 13. v. preceding word.
